Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet2 I know most of the critics and you condemn these movies, but I must admit that I recently enjoy some Sci-Fi movies and I love to see strong Heroines on screen, Aeon Flux or Ultraviolet, even if it is just for the sake of a great music you discover in the soundtrack, a single line, which makes the movie worth seeing....
And I can't believe
How I've been wasting my time.
It is over tonight.

Me personally speaking have been wasting 2 much time on some persons in this country. And I will not waste any more. Download jem_24.mp3

Peng Peng

Voomvoom_1 Voom Voom finally release their debut album through my beloved record lable !K7 next Monday. Three of leftfield electronic music's brightest talents of the last decade: Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister, Peace Orchestra) and Christian Prommer & Roland Appel (Fauna Flash, Trueby Trio) join forces to present "Peng Peng".
My favourite: Logan.
"The most amazing piece of deep electronic house music you're going to hear for a long time" (DJ Magazine)

Cocoa-rich grooves bubble with African vibes

Ipanemas Classic Afro-Brazilian samba, where cocoa-rich grooves bubble with African vibes and the most mellifluous, understated jazz playing possible... NOSSA what a review!
It is "The Ipanemas" album to be released this month by Far Out, some tracks already available on iTunes.
The Ipanemas are Wilson das Neves and Neco. Wilson is one of Brazil's most prolific drummers while Neco is an unassuming genius of Bossa Nova guitar. Both were instrumental in breaking Bossa Nova in Brazil back in the 1950's. In the decades since, they have recorded with all the Brazilian legends Including Elis Regina, Tom Jobim, Wilson Simonal, Chico Buarque and Elza Soares. The Duo's debut album 'os Ipanemas' was recorded in Rio in 1964 for CBS, yet the follow up wasn't recorded until almost 40 years later in 2001. "Samba is Our Gift" is their third album for Far Out Recordings, where they deliver their most impressive, diverse and arresting CD to Date. They revisit this wildly creative time and play with the Musical Experience of Seasoned Veterans.

Azymuth

Farout Farout Recordings just announced in their newsletter what will make Brazilian music lovers clap their hands:
Azymuth are busy recording their sixth artist album for Far Out Recordings at their Copacabana studio in Rio De Janeiro. Early indications (via Skype!) suggest they are striking similarities with the material produced in their jazz/funk era of the 1970s. Stripped down, raw and very live. With Dave Brinkworth at the production helm, we are expecting an awesome album unlike anything Azymuth have produced. Exciting stuff indeed. Yes yes yes!!!!!

Podbop

Podbop Just spotted on Soulcreation, Claudio´s blog, something new and great: Podbop, a very nice new service for music lovers. They mashup events from eventful.com and link it to MP3's band sites and labels. This way they make it easy to listen to a band's music before you go and check them out live in a venue near you.
We need that in Brazil as well, venues we got so much!
